Dietrich Mitchell Transtrum

He was born on Tuesday December 29, 2009 at 6:17 am. Perfectly healthy weighing 7lbs 8oz and measuring 21.5 inches. Dietrich and mom are doing great and mom is recovering quickly.

2nd time's a charm

So we saw the doctor this morning and Kristin is a little more dilated so she scheduled another induction for 6 pm tonight. We got everything ready and headed to the hospital. When we were only 2 feet from the front doors to the hospital Kristin looked at me and kind of laughing said "I think I peed my pants". There was an older gentleman walking out the doors the same moment Kristin made her proclamation. Both the stranger and I looked at Kristin's wet pants. He was concerned and asked if there was anything he could do for us and I just laughed. We waddled back to the nurses station and they got Kristin all bedded up. The nurse ran a test and we soon found out that Kristin didnt pee her pants, her water broke. We were so excited and laughed about our hilarious experience. Needless to say Dietrich will be coming very soon. Thanks again for all your prayers and fasting. We have felt your love and really appreciate your concern during our time of learning patience. More to come when Tricky is born.

Stubborn Dietrich

So Kristin got induced on Sunday night and we were there for 24 hours and she never dilated passed 1 cm. This kid just didnt want to come out so we got sent home on Monday night. We are just going to wait until he comes naturally. Hopefully he comes soon. Thanks for all your prayers and support. We have the best family and friends anyone could ask for.

39 weeks and Birthing

Kristin's last picture of her belly before we go in to get induced. Tomorrow we will have our baby and we are so excited/nervous. Monday will be a long day but it is all worth it because we get to bring home our long-awaited baby Dietrich. Kristin is so great to go through this for us.

Christmas Party

Our bishop had the funnest Christmas Party. We played games, ate great food and just enjoyed being together. See our crazy sweaters below. Mitch won the ugliest sweater contest and there were some nasty sweaters.

37 Weeks

We are almost there. Only 13 days left and thank goodness because Im about to pop.

Thanksgiving Weekend

For Thanksgiving Kristin and I went to Boise to visit my family. Every other year we have Transtrum-side Thanksgiving and there are so many people that come that we have it at the Church. We set up a Movie Room and Eating room, and we play Basketball and Volleyball in the Gym. We had a good time and ate lots of delicious food.

Nutcracker

Mitch bought tickets to The Great Russian Ballet's The Nutcracker for an early Birthday present. We had great seats and we had a good time. I love my Mitchy.

Baby Shower 2

Tami Judd hosted the most beautiful baby shower; it was so fun. Tami you are the best!!! Mitch's family surprised me when all the girls (Chelsea, Ali, Emily, Jenna and Lorraine) came for the shower. I love you guys so much.

34 weeks!!!

Only 4 weeks left. Wahoo, I'm so excited, and can't wait.

University of Utah

I GOT IN!!!!!!!!!!!! We want to thank everyone for all your support and prayers and everything. The IH program at the U of U is something that Kristin and I really want and we are really excited for our experience. Go Utes!....Sorry Coltin.

Halloween

For Halloween this year we had a little snow. Check out this sky; it was amazing and really weird. We also carved some pumpkins. Kristin's was way better than mine. She is better at everything; it's just not fair.

Apple Cider

Kendall Holley Thursten invited us to go to her in-laws house in Blackfoot, ID to press thousands of apples to make apple cider; we couldn't pass up that experience. So on Saturday we spent 4 hours out in Blackfoot with Kendall and Mike preparing and pressing apples for delicious apple cider. We got to take home 6 gallons and it is so good. I love hot apple cider.

Cocoa Butter

So Mitch thinks I am finally "Showing" so I bought some cocoa butter today. I hope I dont get stretch marks. 30 weeks.

Vegas baby Shower

Finished Baby Bedding

Kristin was so exhausted from finishing the bedding that she wanted me to post the pictures. Hope you enjoy it because she put alot of effort into it. Dietrich will love sleeping in his stylish new bed.

Jackson Hole

We just opened a new NAI office in Jackson Hole and I had to go train the new girl on a few office management processes last Wednesday. Kristin took the day off work to come with me. After the meeting was over we walked around town square and visited the shops, art galleries, and we even went to the Jackson Hole Museum. We had a really good time.

Emily is so old!

Mitch's little sister Emily (baby of the fam) is now in college. Mitch's parents came and stayed with us when they dropped Emily off at BYU-I last week; we had a blast. We went up to Swan Valley to see Grandpa's old ranch and to pick berries. Emily wanted to take crazy pictures, like High School Senior pictures. They turned out pretty funny. It was fun to have everyone.






Lorraine and I also started making some baby bedding. We had a couple of late nights but it was coming together great.

She's getting bigger!

Kristin is finally starting to show and she is loving it. Everyone still says she looks tiny for being 23 weeks prego. Man my wife is hot! See for yourself.




When we got our Ultrasound at 20 weeks we had them make us a DVD of the ultrasound. When we got home it didnt work. So long story short they let us go back in and they did the whole ultrasound again for free. They also took some 3D pictures but our stubborn little man is camera shy. We only got one OK photo of his face. See our cute little man below. Where did he get that nose?

Happy Anniversary Love

Happy Anniversary Krissy.

Kristin and I just celebrated our 3rd wedding anniversary on the 26th. I am so glad that Kristin married me; She is everything a guy could ask for. I am glad that she puts up with me and loves me even when I am not that easy to love. I hope I can make her even happier this year.

BlackTail Lake

Saturday we went with some friends to the lake and we had a blast. I had a great time just riding in the boat and Mitch did some wakeboarding.

Baby bump

I am 21 weeks and still barely showing. I cant wait to be huge and waddle around like a real pregnant woman; dont worry, I'm practicing the waddle already.

It's a Boy!!!

Mitch and I went and had our 20 week ultrasound and found out that we are having a healthy baby boy. We are both super excited and can't wait until December when we finally get to meet the little guy. He was being stubborn and wouldn't show us his face, he just wanted to show off his, I'm a Boy spot! They gave us tons of pictures, but here are my favorites.
